» use language and examples that a 14-year-old will understand;
» give clear explanations – and be relevant to students’ daily lives;
» ask questions that encourage students to think about what they hear and see.
» contact your teacher by e-mail or phone several days before class;
» ask your teacher what has been covered in class about the rule of law.
» use “legalese.”
» talk down to students.
Ask your teacher partner what material the students are currently studying to avoid discussing topics they have not yet covered.
